OH MY POOR TOE
Well last week I stubbed my toe in the house. Hurt but nothing, well Sunday it hurt worse and worse and Monday I had a hard time walking thought went to work and was sent home. I went to the doctor and he gave me antibiotics and a referral to a Podiatrist.
Being the nurse I am I knew it was infected but thought that was it.
So earlier today I went in for my referral at the podiatrist...he said LOOKS infected but before I treat you need x rays to see if it is broken. So off to the radiologist I went. Of course they won't tell you BUT it did not look broken to me. Back to the doctors and YEAH not broken BUT.....
it had started to ooze (not so pretty) and bleed and the whole toe was swollen. SO minor surgery in the office he took off the nail and cleaned up the infection area. Wrapped it up and home I went. I just hope by Friday this throbbing stops OR I will be off work again for one more day.
I should have taken pictures to post lets just say it was not pretty. So here I am trying to sleep NOT doing a good job and with an aching, throbbing foot.
The girls have been great taking care of me and so has Jason.
SO I have taken pain medication and am am going to attempt to go to sleep.

Missing My Dad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I have started Spring Cleaning. Upstairs is done (well except for craft closet BUT well it will stay as is). So started work on our bedroom today. I have been missing my dad and the thoughts of this poem struck home. My dad and I had a great relationship and although I do not have any regrets of him not knowing we loved him or having angry words between us the saddness and regret of him being gone is still there.
Here is the poem I found:
If I Knew
If I knew it would be the last time I'd see you fall asleep,I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the Lord your soul to keep.
If I knew it would be the last time I see you walk out the door, I would give you a hug and a kiss and call you back for one more.
If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your voice life up in praise, I would would video tape each action and word, so I could play them back day after day. (This hit home for me, still does I miss hearing his voice).
If I knew it would be the last time, I could spare an extra minute or two, to stop and say "I love you," instead of assuming that you Know I do.
Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike, and today might be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight. SO, if you're waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes, you'll surely regret the day, that you didn't take that extra time for a smile, a hug, or kiss, and you were to busy to grant someone, what turned out toe be their one last wish.
So hold your loved ones close today, whisper in their ear, tell them how much you love them, and that you'll always hold them dear. Take the time to say "I'm sorry" , "please forgive me", "thank you" and if tomorrow never comes, you'll have not regret about today.
