McKenna's Big Days

Tuesday night McKenna hit a standing homerun, the ball went out past the center fielder. SHe was so happy.

Today she received her Music Bead Belt at school. She has worked hard this year on the recorder. SHe is also teaching herself some church songs on the piano. Mommy tries to actually giver her lessons BUT that is not working out to well so we will have to find her a teacher. But for now I just encourage her to work on the music. Currently she is working on learning a song to play for reverence time at Primary.

Tomorrow she has another big day, at her school they have authors tea and they invite parents to come and they read some of their writings for the year, she is going to read some of her memoirs, and this year she is a publshed author and wrote her own book, we are so proud of her.

ALso the last game of the season occurs, and then the pizza party which is always fun. WIll post pictures from the past few days and events this weekend.

Please Pray for Steven Curtis Chapman and his Family

He is a country music singer who has also adopted from CHina. His little one Maria died tonight after being hit by a car driven by her brother he was backing out and did not see her.

One of his songs so lead us in our decision to adopt Marielle.

Hug your little ones tight, anything can happen and when all is said and done Family is what is important, everything else is details that come and go and family is what matters.

Game Ball

McKenna received the game ball at the last game. I do have some pictures to post but I need to figure out how to do the slide shows because the pictures of her in action will look so much better if they are in slide show format.
